Course Description
As building owners and design teams pursue lower-carbon, more energy-efficient buildings, HVAC system selection has become a critical design decision. Architects must balance occupant comfort, energy performance, mechanical space requirements, operating costs, and evolving code requirements while supporting building electrification goals. Modern heat pump technologies are increasingly being evaluated as part of this transition because they offer an opportunity to reduce fossil fuel use while maintaining year-round heating and cooling performance in a wide range of building types.Learning Objectives
